From my experience living among the poor, many parents do not and will not provide their kids with healthy food. Cigarettes and cell phones-that's what's important among the poor parents, cigarettes and cell phones

My 6yo girl goes to a private school where they require you to sign up for the meal plan at $800 a year. She weighs 34 lbs, so she couldn't eat $800 worth of food in 3 years. They say it's a safety issue after some kid with a nut allergy swapped lunches for peanut butter some years ago.
