Dooney's Gate, 10 years old (who sadly broke his back), and Ornais, who was 9 (and broke his neck, poor guy) during the running of the John Smith's Grand National Chase (Grade 3) today at Aintree.

He broke down while in the lead in a race at Chepstow...

Magnini, only 3, at Thirsk.

He, apparently, crashed "though the stands rail".
