They're going to have a "meet and greet" with Uncle Mo 2 days before he's supposed to compete in the Wood Memorial?

I guess if he tests positive post-race Pletcher will have a better excuse than Uncle Mo breathing in aerosolized local anesthetic from the horse in an adjacent stall (see his Tales Of Glory controversy).

Hope they do a background check on the lucky contest winner.

They were kicking dirt all over me. I luvd it! The last 8th of a mile he said I could go so I breezed past them at the wire and when I looked behind me they were gone. I think it is funny that people assume a horse couldn't spell. I mean, he figured out posting and such, why think of he would be unable to spell.

Probably just a typing issue, certainly must be difficult.

Yeah, that's true!

Besides, his sire is the smartest horse ever.

I don't get it. What moron decided it would be a good idea to personify Uncle Mo with the dim witted, drool-spewing, booger-eating mental capacity of a 5 year old kid?

If they had any fucl<ing sense they would have fashioned his "words" after the great WWF wrestler The Ultimate Warrior, who took pre-event trash talking to new heights, both literally and pharmacologically, back in the early '90s.

Why would you diss Uncle Mo like that?

Dear grumpy men of DT...

Geez, do any of you even remember fun?

You guys... most of you are such good handicappers. You're smart and savvy but come on stop being so hateful.

He's excited and it's working, isn't it? We're talking about it, aren't we?

I'm not a fan of the dumbing down of America either BUT he's making Mo accessible. He's playing to the youngest fans which is actually pretty smart.

They're walking advertisements, they're the most excited of us all (people who consider ourselves fans before anything else).

I think it's a really nice thing he's doing and while I wouldn't exactly compose Mos stuff like Mera wrote it I'm all for it.

The first horse who ever had a site and kept a "diary" (that I can recall anyway) was Xcellent, champion and star of NZ racing. It was very cool. Applause to any owner who let's the fans in the inner circle somehow, even if it's just a couple of silly lines about bringing peppermints if you win the contest.

Good for him.

It is fun. I get a kick out of it. I hope I win the contest and get to pet him on the nose.

Doesn't deserve it's own thread, but a nice little story on Repole in todays NY Daily News.
