I enjoy TVG, Kotulak was a stick in the mud although he did play his straight arrow part to a tee. Mr. B on the other hand Im not happy or sad one way or the other. I am also interested to see what Greg Wolf's new blog has, as he pointed out it might ruffle a few feathers at the network. But I dont like this wacky stuff they are trying out, like that show with Dave Weaver and Simon, where they pretended not to know they were being filmed while on a commercial break and Dave breaks some prop. That was not funny at all.

best analyst is Les Onaka hands down, he knows the QH's. TVG is crazy if they let him go.

I was in the car yesterday and the radio was on 126, not sure who was on TVG, but they were talking about Zenyatta losing the foal and claimed that Moss will have to shell out another $75K to have her bred to Bernardini again. I am no expert, but these people are supposed to be, as far as I know a stud fee is paid only when a foal is born alive. These guys should know better!

I couple of years ago before the Hollywood Gold Cup, the connections of Heatseeker (who I believe was going to be one of the favorites) announced on either Thursday or Friday that he was going to scratch from the race (if I remeber correctly it was injry related). That Friday night at Hollywood Schrupp went on about what a good chance that Heatseeker had to win the race. The whole kicker of thing is that they were on site at Hollywood Park and the guy still had absolutely no clue about what was going on with the horse. I thought that summed it all up right there about how clueless some of these guys are.

I can't get TVG in Manhattan, so I only hear the feed on the radio, but I hope Schrupp is one of those that gets canned. I find that he is unberable and seems to know very little about horse racing. I agree with those who blame the producers as well, enough of the schtick, they really need to have people who know the sport and can actually handicap and educate the audience. On occasion when I leave work I hear Michelle Yu and hearing her talking about harness races as if she has any clue is an absolute joke.

If you had heard the segment, I am sure you would have been falling over in laughter. One of the idiots was going on saying "it is not like Bernardini is just going to do the work for free." Not sure how they can claim to cover horseracing with people who often don't even know the basics.
