I completely agree about the finish. I got the feeling that once they reached about midstretch, he realized he was being asked to go further and re-engaged. Thought he finished better than many are giving him credit for and galloped out the extra 110 yards energetically.

Yeah - I got the feeling that if that race yesterday was run at 10 furlongs instead of 8.5 furlongs - he might have won that by 15 lengths.

At first - it just looked like everyone else was tiring late from chasing a much faster horse ... but he was really earning at least a little bit of that late seperation....
