NYRA NAMES ANDREW DINOVO AS DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNT WAGERING OZONE PARK, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) announced today that Andrew N. DiNovo has been named Director of Account Wagering, a new position. DiNovo, 46, will develop, implement and oversee all aspects of NYRA’s account wagering programs, including its telephone, online, mobile and on-track platforms, along with customer acquisition, development and analysis for NYRA Rewards. “We are thrilled that Andrew will be joining our management team,” said NYRA President and CEO Charles Hayward. “He brings nearly 20 years of experience in the high-tech communications industry working with many of the market leaders. Andrew will play a key role in the further development, improvement, and analysis of our NYRA Rewards account wagering platform.” DiNovo, a native of Albany, N.Y., was most recently Director of Sales and Marketing for the Capital District Regional Off-Track Betting Corporation. In that role, he was responsible for all sales and marketing efforts, as well as online wagering. Prior to joining Capital OTB, DiNovo led the commercial services division for Time Warner Cable in Albany, New York. There, he led the successful launch of the company’s Business Class product line, which utilizes a myriad of new technologies to help Capital Region business owners solve their tech issues. “I am extremely excited to join NYRA and be a part of the best thoroughbred racing in the country, if not the world,” DiNovo said. “NYRA is taking great strides as a leader in quality of services and with the creation of this position, demonstrates its commitment to future technologies. I am proud to be a member of the team.” During his 17 years in the high-tech communications industry, DiNovo has held various sales management positions at Sprint Nextel and Sprint PCS affiliates Independent Wireless One and US Unwired, and at Southwestern Bell and NYNEX Mobile Communications.

![]() I guess the Capital District has a couple of sites NYRA might be interested in aquiring. Unlike NYCOTB. And I guess Long Island OTB is about ready to sink because NYRA is slamming them too.
