The rule either is if there is contact automatically take the horse down or if there is contact did the contact affect the result of the race. Correct me if I am wrong, but I understand it to be the latter. Consistency is needed, the contact had absolutely no affect on the result of the race. Why was the 8 taken down, there was no way in hell the fading 6 was doing anything better than 3rd with or without the contact.

Agree 100% with you, the 6 was dying and wasn't gonna be any better than 3rd.. Gary Mandella on HRTV said it's the worst DQ he has seen in the last 2 years. Horse switched leads and bore in, it wasn't "dangerous riding" by Prado!
