I LOVE IT!!!! I love reading the headlines on Monday morning and laughing. I love seeing all the fans around here moping around on Monday mornings, looking like they just lost their best friend.

Happiness to me is Redskins misery

Sorry Deb I know we have talked about it before....but I just cant find it in my heart to root for them. As you know, I moderately pulled for them when Bruce played for them, but that was it.

me too, they are blantant racists
I'm glad Steven A. Smith had a show
devoted to obliterating offensive names
in pro & college sports
Chiefs, Redskins, Braves
very appalling society we live in
that would advote and support such depravity

Brunell isn't the problem. It's Joe Gibbs.

The man reinvented the game in the 1970's and 80's but this is just more proof why it's a young man's game. He is beyond the point where he understands modern defenses. His offensive scheme is predictable and unimaginative. No QB thrives there.

BTW: "Redskins" is an actual racial taunt as opposed to the descriptive "Indian", "Brave", or "Chief". I do find it somewhat amazing the NCAA has banned those but Redskin passes muster in the NFL.

Gibbs is a figurehead on the sidelines & the predictable and unimaginative offenses on the field have little to do with him. He's not the offensive coordinator, he's just another gimmick among many the last 10 years or so that has blown up in Snyders face. The situation reminds me of "Weekend at Bernies" where they cart that guy around everywhere pretending he's alive. This is coming from a big Skins fan too...I put the fault with Snyder....what a tool.

It's hard for me to believe the Joe Gibbs who introduced the 1 RB offense to the NFL (does anyone even remember what a 2 RB set looked like?) has nothing to do with the O plan in Washington.

I'm not that close to the situation and if you have followed them I guess you are probably right. He may have realized he doesn't understand the modern game. But neither does whomever is the risk adverse ***** running their O now.

My point was whomever was pointing their finger at Brunell was off the mark. He's old too. But he could win with the talant they have in Washington if they had a game plan.

Al Saunders and his infamous 700 page playbook is the Offensive coordinator for the Redskins. He got a 3 year, 6 million dollar contract earlier this year.

How they can produce the offensive play calling that they do from that playbook is beyond me. I think you are right about the Brunell thing. It's not all his fault. I will maintain till the end that the problem with this team is Snyder. He's been trying to use gimmicks and buy championships since he got here, and it just isn't working. I think he saw the hiring of Gibbs as a bulletproof move that couldn't possibly go wrong, and now even that has. I'm really not sure what decisions Gibbs is making for the team...maybe the coin toss? Gatorade flavor? His role on the present team has been the butt of many jokes around the DC area, and I even saw one of the network pregame shows poking fun as well. It's a damn shame too, because he's one of the best of all time.

Yeah, I guess I'm a little frustrated too...
