Good luck to Soviet Pearl (and to Able Speed) tomorrow in R7 at Happy Valley!
Oh yeah and to Strawberry who is a standby starter for R8. He is ummm the former Central Station. I really do hope he gets in cause I have no idea who Tsui will give the mount to since Leung and Chang have other mounts as does So. Retired... Classic Navigator, Wind Knight and Up Rising. Barrier trials... Crown Witness wins batch 3... no idea what the plan was for Brave Kid but maybe they just wanted to let him stretch his legs before the big, upcoming race. http://www.hkjc.com/english/press/btrs.asp Passed our vet exams... Best Military LUnar Eagle Star Reflections Record HIgh |

Check it out though... It runs for over a minute (about a minute and a half) before the actual barrier trial starts but man look at Able Charm, the 9, with Beadman up. |

Wow! That was impressive.
Good to hear Algeciras won one. Always liked him, even though he was never one of the very best horses. He did beat Flying Fulton in one race here, and that horse is now looking quite good in Singapore. But Good Looking Watch? Really? |

Yeah... some name.
Heres his win (he paid huge)... http://www.hkjc.com/english/racing/r...2011&raceno=02 I looked up his owner to see what other stellar names he had going... Fantastic Time Good Timing (retired) Watchman (retired) ... so at least theres a running theme there. ![]() Maybe his next horse can be Timetothinkofagoodname. I've never heard of Flying Fulton so thanks... a new one to look up. ![]() |

![]() But of course it's not just HK that has the weird names. There's a horse here in NZ at the moment called Aluminum Bikerack. Who calls a horse that? Honestly! |
