Baffert trained Vindication, the unbeaten champion juvenile of 2002, who stands at Hill 'N' Dale near Lexington, Kentucky.
Bob Baffert is an avid Seattle Slew fan; the trainer visited the champion just weeks before he died. When I saw that she was headed to Hill 'N' Dale, I thought Vindication right away. Baffert owns Vindy's first-born, by the way. She is a filly, born January 1, 2005.
