Case in point: The exacta with a virtually unbeatable favorite (who I think was part of an entry no less) returned $1015. If even 1/3rd of your silly $60 bet ($20) was directed at this exacta you would have returned over 10G turning a 133-1 shot into nearly a 200-1 shot. But you're right... it was smart bet.
