The biggest day of their meet being held on a Sunday.
I know they are trying to dodge butting heads with the other big days around the country but, I think this is a huge mistake.
Yeah, I don't really get it either. Considering they would have been the only big race of the weekend on Saturday it almost seems as if they've out-smarted themselves.

The other major Derby preps are expected to be run on the following days:

La Derby - March 26
Lane's End - March 26 (I know)
Wood Memorial - April 9
SA Derby - April 9
Illinois Derby - April 9
Blue Grass - April 16
Arkansas Derby - April 16

They also have re-scheduled their first post for 12:55 PM EST, which will coincide with Aqueduct's 2nd race every day they're both running.

When I read that, I thought, that is a great idea someone is finally getting it, then I checked NYRA 2nd race post and smiled. Ritvo, an exhorseman, said it was to free up the single and space it better, he obviously didn't remember NYRA (probably still more then Gulfstream handles) was running.

Yeah, sporting events on a Sunday, what a stupid idea. That'll never work!

Horse Racing is totally the same as football. I see people wearing their favorite jockey silks all of the time!!

Actually, they are not nearly the same. Horse racing is more ossified than a T-rex fossil, and is dying off accordingly.

Now I know why the Haskell is such a drag on Monmouth's meet, being run on a Sunday.
