The problem is the poster you distinctly responded to had singled me out as a racist ( I am still waiting for him to either back up what he said or apologize...neither of which that foul vermin has done ). Thus, my inference was hardly surprising.

I, too, think that someone who finds what the Sheiks do objectionable, simply because they are Arabs, is racist. But, I wouldn't expess that opinion to someone who called me a racist with no cause, while agreeing with them.

Not really surprised that this horse will be retired after the BC. They are just doing what everyone else is doing. Yeah, they don't need the money, but like someone said, maybe they are looking to breed their own TC winner.
As for this "racism" crap being bantered about here, if any of you that think what was said was racists, you need to visit the Keeneland Sept. sale on the first 4 days of the sale. The terms "F****** Arabs" and "F****** Irish" are quite commonly heard among other buyers and even onlookers. My, my there are many "racists" running around Keeneland.

Blackthroatedwind,
Honestly, I meant no offense to you.
I appreciate to your insights to racing.
If you have issues with someone, do me a favor, ok?, don't include me in that.
I have no problem with you.
If you took something differently than I intended, well, thanks for letting me explain.
Peace.

I understand where you're coming from, and while I think you should be careful about agreeing with posters who have just indefensably called another poster something derogatory, I understand that you were not necessarily agreeing with his disgraceful and unfounded accusations directed towards me.

I appreciate your attempts to clarify the situation.

I came to this thread a bit late ... but ...

... let me just tell you that the poster who called you a racist is himself an Arab who sees everything through a race-oriented prism.

If you said "the sky is blue" ... he'd call you anti-Arab because it was nighttime over Arab countries.

Everyone on this forum knows you as the honorable gentleman that you are ... please don't allow one race-crazed poster to get under your skin.

1. I'm not an Arab.
2. I do not like racist people.
3. You are still an idiot.

Quiz tomorrow, closed-book.

BB,
Stud is also a man of honor. Hes no coward, and calls a spade a spade as he sees it. I don't think its proper FOR EITHER RACE(Jew or Arab) to get into a politically charged debate and dangle bait, then when its taken cry racism.
One could be EQUALLY pissed off when a Jew busts on a born again Christian. One could get very pissed and say why don't you offer a disclaimer before you post that view, that you are a Jew, just to be responsible and all. Or one could read that and take a pass and bite his tongue.
I don't see Stud as an arab, I see him as a guy. I also don't see him preaching that Arabs should be taking down buildings with innocent people in them. I've never met Stud, but I'm quite sure I'd want him in a foxhole with me.
As neither a Jew nor Arab, I can speak without prejudice. Since grade school my life has been filled with closest friends who were Jewish, and I count an Arab among my closest friends(I preach about blowing up every last one of them who would hurt us, not all of them).
If people are going to engage in debates in which race or religion is being thinly veiled or used as bait to dangle to incite the other one, then noone should be surprised or hurt when the other party takes the bait, and runs with it. Neither party is right in that type of case. But if you don't wanna get run over, don't walk in the middle of the road.

You defend a guy who claimed I made " anti-arab " comments when absolutely no such comments ever came from me? Then the guy goes on to claim that I brought Hitler into the conversation when that was also factually inaccurate.

What dog do you have in this fight? Does it stem from my dislike of Pat Day, which you reference as me being a Jew who doesn't like a born-again Christian, as though somehow that justifies the racist references made by that other person ( and I use the term lightly )? Who the hell are you to make thinly veiled accusations like that? Would it be OK for me to dislike Pat Day when he was drinking and using drugs because then you couldn't make outlandish, albeit " examples ", references?

This other poster has SERIOUS problems and made completely indefensible accusations about my posts because he is insecure. Why you would choose to further this situation is beyond me.

I have no dog in this fight. respect all parties and look forward to posts here by all. But if you really wanna get into it off the board on Pm's your Pat day comments could be construed as racist, and yes, they bothered me.
