props to Martin Garcia for the way he handled things as he was the one out of all of them who had all the reason to get upset, nice to know he remembers he had a mom who raised him right.

I asked before and no one responsed - did it or did it not look like Calvin gave Martin an assist in getting him back into his saddle when he became unseated.

What a schittee day of racing.

2 races later the police had to escort Calvin from the track to the jockey room right before he made it the tunnel, they (police) was restraining him again and he was pissed. I think it was due to; some patron said something vulgar towards him.

Javier Castallano is the one who threw the first punch...albeit after Borel was pointing his finger in his face and shouting at him.

If this happened in a football game ... Borel would not get flagged at all - and Javier would get a 15 yard personal foul and perhaps get ejected.

This isn't football and what happened today was unprecedented - at least in any of the major races that have been on national tv.

Even Calvin's wife was giving him a ration of it to calm himself down.

Calvin proved himself to be a hot headed punk today. I think his future as a jockey is very much in jeopardy.

Let's not go crazy here. Why would it be in jeopardy?

Owners and trainers don't want to deal with hot heads - especially if that jockey is riding their horses after he's taken a postal hemorrhage on national TV. I don't care how strong Calvin Borel is, that kind of adrenalin expenditure has got to place a major effect on him for the rest of the day - maybe well into tomorrow when he starts thinking of all the repurcussions of what he did. If Sadler was able to use another jock on Tell A Kelly, he would have.

Not giving a pass to Castellano. He'll get a fine and/or a suspension. But Calvin should get the same. Classless!

This incident will have ZERO bearing on his future as a jockey. Things like this happen everyday. This unfortunately was played out on national TV. Tomorrow there will be a new crisis and everybody will move on.

I value your opinion (check your PM's). But Calvin's career outside of Churchill needs a major shot in the arm and the incident today won't help.

Omg...are you nuts? That's just nuts. Punk. Javier is the punk. They should have just let Calvin go and beat the piss out of him. You were the same one saying how awful this was. This isn't a cheer-leading competition.

It was awful, and Calvin created the scenario. Purely a vast difference of opinion. Deal with it.
