Try 6 generations in mine. If he doesn't want to come here, that's his choice.
I don't hear you bitching when American trainers don't want to go to England.
Wesley Ward had a pretty good trip a couple of years ago, when he actually travelled to my little Country. I guess you saved our racing industry as well.

I cant believe where this thread went. All the man said was that hes been here and doesnt like it, he is more than entitled to his opinion. No need to read more into what he said. His loss if he doesnt like it here, as for the Indian stable lad what the hell do you expect if he doesnt even have a proper name.

LOL at Hughes. Is it his decision or his agent? Do they not know how to read past performances? Have they forgot they came damn close to beating Goldikova THREE times?

Fine. Let an American based rider take the mount.

There we go, ruining diplomatic relations with our neighbors across the pond.
Your TKO Foreign Relations Directorship is in serious jeopardy.

Is that why you root for the "New" England Patriots?

For what it's worth Ryan Moore is an upgrade to Richard Hughes, no big loss.

I like America but not everyone would share the same opinion - he hasn't had good experiences there in the past, is just not keen on the racing in the States and felt really sorry for the poor kid who has been with Paco the last few years so I thought he was entitled to say what he did. Anyway, I dont even think its that bad..

Brock, my Euro friend, I have no problem with someone not liking America. Go right ahead. But when you are sending a horse here for the World Championships, is it really necessary to say what he said? Mind you he is basing this on coming over 2 times to run a horse, hardly a long courtship with the Yanks.

Undoubtedly some journalist asked him why he wasn't going, a reasonable thing to ask, and he answered it honestly: he tried it and didn't like it. I don't like New York City: spent a week there, some things were nice, but all in all, I don't care to go back.

Oh, and by the way, Britain does require documents for immigrants, even those from former Commonwealth countries. 'Elvis' would not be in Britain without having those in order. The trainer may not know the guy's proper name, but I'll bet his bookkeeper, who makes out the staff paychecks, knows it.

Here's an interesting tidbit, Dettori declared that if he had to lay one horse to pay the mortage this BC, it would be Delegator.

He also said the BC Mile winner will come from posts 6 and in. Anyway it's good food for thought.

FWIW - Hannon had triple bypass surgery this week...that is really why he isn't here.
