Anyone hear how Descarado is? I heard he didn't finish.

Great win by Americain, and I thought So You Think was really brave.

But the performance that impressed me the most was Maluckyday. That was a huge run! It was only his 9th start, as well. If I had to pick a horse for the 2011 Melbourne Cup right now, he'd be the one.

I heard his saddle slipped.

Nash said he was travelling well Ed when they hit the straight, here's more:

Was travelling like a winner until the point of the home turn when it felt like something go onto his back (legs). I thought he was going to collapse near the line so I pulled him up

I'm not sure he would have won, he didn't look like he was travelling too well during the race to me.
