![]() Why can't he win here? Not enough straight to work up his momentum. Same problem Mastery had in the BC Marathon; it took him nearly the full length of the Doncaster stretch to get up to the lead to win the St. Leger. Straights on US courses are less than 2f, barely 1.5f on infield turf courses and horses who run from behind but don't have a really explosive turn of foot can't make up enough ground late.
