I'll take the best def. over the best off.... every time.
I also take best defense over best offense, even with the rule changes. If I were to pick a SB winner right now it would be the Steelers for that reason. But it certainly has opened up the opportunities to the 2009 Saints and 2006 Colts of the world.

Unfortunately, my team has chosen to take both the worst offense and one of the worst defenses.

Oh, the rule works even better in college fb.

Ohio State vs. Miami being the classic example.

That was one of the worst games I've ever seen. The funny thing is Chicago will probably beat the lousy Giants too, but Cutler is awful and the Packers should be embarrassed forever that they lost that game.

You're being too kind, Joe. How he is a starter in the NFL is beyond my comprehension

How can you be a fan of more then one NFL team?

Why not?

College, you are required to root for your Alma mater (and/or your home state team if your school didn't have football.)
NFL isn't as written in stone. Plenty of people in NYC root for the Giants and Jets. I root for the team I bet on that day, and then the Bills, then Eagles, then Bengals. He'll, I'll root for any team playing the Cowboys.

College:

AZ Cats are my #1

I root for Penn State in the Big 10, WVU in big east, Gator in SEC (just cause I have to living here)... could care less about the Big 12 & ACC.

Rooting, and being a fan are different things. I root for alot of teams, but I am only a fan of the Bears.

My order is a little different, I root for the Bears, then any team I pick in my confidence pool or bet on, then I root for anyone playing the Vikings, then anyone playing the Packers.

Although this year, I have Aaron Rodgers as the cornerstone of my fantasy football team in a 14 team, expensive league, so not alot of cheering against the Packers because of that.

How can you be a constant fan of any team in any sport?

They're all the friggen same in a lot of ways.

It's like rooting for one big corporation to do better than another one. Only a moron does that - unless they have stock.

If I like a single company .. I like them because I enjoy the product they have.

If Moss doesn't play in New England next year .. do you think I'm going to still root for them? Hell no. He'll end up in either Minny, Philly, or Denver .. and I'll be all-in with them.... though Denver will be hard to stomach, because of a chance that Tebow might get on the field.

I'm only a real fan of the Eagles..

But I'll pull for the Bears, Bills (I know) & Jets now that they have Rex when those teams play.

2005 Steelers +7
2004 Patriots +9
2003 Patriots +17

2001 Patriots +7
