7.4 Billion earmarked for 9/11 first responders

LOL... People spend the time to post but don't even spend the time to read the link they are posting about. This wasn't / isn't and never will be a post on whether or not first responders should get an entitlement...

Sorry, I'm not talking about entitlements, rocket scientist. Although that "not an entitlement" - a payment/fund for illness suffered by first responders in the attack - appears to be exactly what you are bitching about. You're the one that posted it's all about money, for you:

with THE point ... We are spending 7.4 Billion of of which we don't have... Societal Obligations is right. We have an obligation to our children and our childrens children to not let them live in a broke third world country. What's next ??? 5 Billion for families of Alaskan Crab fisherman who lost their lives at sea?

I'm talking about your selfish, narrow-minded, ungrateful piss-poor attitude of: First responders chose this life, let them live with the consequences if they are injured on the job.

Riot's post really shows that she can't even dig in past the ****i<ng headlines.

Just saying what, Timmi? You have nothing to add to the thread but changing the subject so you can get in a gratuitous potshot at Obama for something Hannity told you to get pissed about in 2009, and which Obama dropped? Did you forget you are supposed to "love privatized healthcare"?

Let's fairly note that Obama sure has hell has shown more concern for the civilians harmed in the 9-11 terrorist attack (and that especially includes the civilian first responders) than jms62.

allow me to play devil's advocate for a moment...

why should first responders in this instance get any more than a first responder in any other incident? aren't there already things in place to cover injuries/ilnesses that are job related? why should my brother, out on permanent disability from the dcfd, get less than someone who was at a more famous tragedy?
