How about last year? what about the other day? 2 catches? The only person who agrees with you hasn't been right in 25 years. That should tell you something.

Revis had a great year last year ...

In 11 regular-season games locked on to a single receiver — Moss (twice), Terrell Owens (twice), Andre Johnson, Marques Colston, Mike Sims-Walker, Steve Smith, Roddy White, Reggie Wayne, and Chad Ochocinco — Revis allowed 32 catches for 290 yards and two touchdowns.
That's giving up 2.91 catches a game .. 26.36 yards a game ... and 0.18 TD's a game.

Moss beat all of those numbers and got one of the two TD's he gave up in '09.

Hell, the last time Cromartie faced Moss he was in SD and he held him to 23 yards in Moss's worst showing of the whole year... so the Jets have a couple guys with great track records against him.

Brady had two easy long bomb TD's to him over Revis in the first half. He basically missed both throws...it took a great play just to make one count.

You admitted yourself that Revis wasn't running like he can. So who cares? The bottom line is except for two catches (both of which came in games the Patriots lost), Moss has been a total non-factor in three years against the Jets. This is indisputable.

You're such a snake with these arguments. Moss beat those averages? Yes, by 2.64 yards per game. And that touchdown was the quickest throw you'll ever see at the goal line. It was the only way Moss could ever score against a healthy Revis since his rookie year.

Moss did torch him on that play but it's an asterisk play.

He should be healthy when they meet again in Foxboro - so the sample size will get a little larger and we'll see.

Football is an 11 on 11 game though .. Aaron Hernandez was the guy out there for the Pats getting open and winning his match-ups. Just like Dustin Keller torched New England's Cover 2.

Brady won all of his Super Bowls with a world class defense - and a very strong running game and screen pass game. The defense is no longer the superior side of the ball in NE like it was 5 years ago .. Corey Dillan isn't there to run it when they need to run it. Moss and Welker have become his crack cocaine. He's got to rely on the open man...and against the Jets .. it's probably not going to be Moss.

That's because Revis is on him....or Cromartie as we saw in the second half.

I wonder what Jerry Rice would have done against Cromartie.

Jerry Rice's statistical production is similar to slightly better than Moss - but he did it in a West Coast offense with Joe Montana and Steve Young throwing him the ball.

Moss is asked to run a steady diet of deep routes to stretch the defense and open up the field underneath for others.

No one could cover Moss one on one in 1998 - this isn't 1998 though. I'm not still in high school.

Holy fucl<. It's been 3+ years. 7 games. He's yet to crack 40 yards against him. Make as many excuses as you want, Moss is a non-factor against the Jets. Deal with it.

I once told someone that in a game between the Jets and the Taliban ... I'd be on the fence.

Right now, I'd be all-in for the Taliban.

Why? Because your idol is completely ineffective against them? Yeah, that's a real reason to hate a team. Stop crying. You didn't give two shits about the Jets until you had to follow your boyfriend to a third team that he won't win anything on. Don't pretend like you have some kind of longstanding hatred for them.
