Is the NFL always on the up and up? Maybe, maybe not. I can see both sides of the arguement and any time that much money is involved there is a greater risk for some funny business. But that game was a legit beatdown. On both sides of the line.
Well then you're reading what I initially wrote too literally. The Jets didn't need any help in the second half. They took care of it on their own quite nicely, even with their best player going down. But if they did, you damn well better believe the flags would have been flying in their favor. The post was an extension on a conversation Coach and I and others had last week.

IMO Most NFL games are on the up and up. I try to bet the low profile games like STL-OAK or ARI-ATL this week, or totals. Less TV's = less likelihood of the bookies getting one sided = better chance to have an outcome decided fairly. FYI the Jets-Pats line moved 4 points which is almost unheard of in the NFL. On top of that it was far and away the highest profile game on the day involving a team from the #1 market.

For what it's worth I KNEW the Jets were the right side today and didn't have the balls to bet them.

Coach, next Sunday's early line is Dolphins -1.5, what do you think? Personally I'm surprised the Jimmy Buffetts aren't laying 3-4.

They realize Brit Far is done? Gotta like the Jets in that one...just let Sanchez play.

The line moved 2 points. The Pats opened -1 and closed -3.

If Gene Steratore isn't betting on football games, I'd be shocked. He's single-handedly deciding game outcomes at this point.

Again, I'm only talking about yesterday's game and what he said about yesterday's game. Phil said the outcome was predetermined, which I disagree with. I acknowledge the refs absolutely have some say in the game.

But I also don't think it's as much as is being represented here. If I did I'd never bet another sports game.

That was last Monday before the Jets had played. By Tuesday, after the Jets played Monday night the Pats were the favorite on every board you posted.
