Jets Ravens playalong

Pretty funny to me. The Jets play awful, get beat by 1 point to a team many are saying is one of the best teams in the NFL and according to some they should pack it in the rest of the year.

Yet the defending AFC champs get handled pretty easily by the Texans and there are few words said about it. The Colts gave up 257 yards rushing. They have a ton of issues. The Ravens didn't exactly look great last night. The Pats looked okay but they have their issues on defense.

The Jets are going to need to improve on offense. Everyone knew that going in. But they were playing the Ravens defense last night. Ed Reed or not, the ravens are still one of the better defensive teams in the league.

It's a long season.

I agree with all of this. There are no teams in the AFC without flaws. There are about 6-8 teams that if they avoid major injuries and more importantly get hot at the right time can make it to the Super Bowl. It's way to early to panic. The Jets & Ravens are 2 of the teams.

I hope things are different this year with the Texans. I kept waiting for them to s.hit the bed on Sunday but the running game was stout and they basically blew the Colts off the line on every play. The defense was considerably better, Kareem Jackson looked very good (Coach Pants was right) and the rest of the secondary was improved. Dallas Clark generally has a field day with the Texans but he had a relatively quiet day (11 catches, 80 yds).

It's an understatement to say this is the best Texans team in franchise history but I'm going to remain cautiously optimistic.

That would be the other 6. Maybe the Titans too. I can argue any of these 9could be the SB representitve and also give you reasons why it is possible they could miss the playoffs. The NFC probably has 5 with a legitimate shot: GB, Minn, Dal, NY,NO. Maybe ATL

Pfft, it's clearly all over already. Just listen to the POS Jet fans who get off on feeding into the media's perception of the hapless Jets. It was a sloppy game and the offense has tons of work to do. The defense is still top flight, with or without Jenkins and because of that, they'll have a chance to win every game this season.

No later than week 8 Jet fans are treated to Mark B and the arm that will not win the PPK for 15 year olds. Defense splits skulls but Sanchez is Tony Eason

You're right. He looked terrible in the playoff run. Can't play. It doesn't matter that he wasn't even allowed to throw the ball last night, that's clearly enough evidence to write him off forever.

I'm concerned about the RHT mush. The Jets definitely need him to keep hatin' on them but I have a bad feeling he could switch sides and start riding their nuts if they win two in a row.

Objectively of course not, he hasn't exhausted all of his chances but there is something about the eyes of a QB who has stopped competing that makes them half empty type people. Big test next week for JETS but if Sanchez is looking for redemption in Miami down 0-2 he'll need the $500 shrink to make him believe he has the Willly Beaman blood flowing in him.

What are you talking about? When did Sanchez stop competing? Is it his fault Cotchery dropped a wide open pass? Is it his fault Keller gave zero effort on their last offensive play?

He threw a great pass to Keller earlier in the game that would have resulted in a 1st and goal, but Edwards was called for an illegal shift.

Exactly.....his best moment was the least significant of the game. Until he shows he can make a play he has to deal with the reality that his own team calls a game which makes him a non factor.
