I wonder if Rex is going to tell them that they kicked their asses up and down the field.

You know Rex's motto: Play like a Jet.

Guess what Rex, They did.

How do you think the Ravens looked tonight? This is a team that was as hyped as the Jets were. Their defense looked great against a struggling offense. But if you take away the penalties, their offense didn't exactly light it up.

Your so biased... Me as a Pats fan can be straight. THe Ravens at least have a lot to look forward 2, the Jets have nothing.

If they ran the ball one more time on first down I was going to vomit. I know their asses were against the Jet goal post half the night, but throw a gd play action in the flat for once.

But they covered..so who cares

All the hype and this POS coach and the Jets are off to a quick 0-2 start.

Both teams have excellent D's (especially against the run). The Ravens are weak in the secondary which will be exploited by teams with elite Qb's. I don't think either team has a SB quality QB but Flacco is a hell of a lot more battle tested and closer than Sanchez.

Flacco has all the tools, ALL OF THEM. Battle tested? He is 20x better then Sanchez. He had a bad game tonight, simple... Now all the sudden he is not battle tested? I guess going into New England in the playoffs and winning is nothing.

20x better? Yeah maybe he needs Robo-Jerry Rice and he'd score one more TD outside of the one the refs gave him

Get the f.uck out of here with that bs. Ravens won't do s.hit this year.

It's hard not to get mad when telling a knuckle-dragger they are wrong. You said Flacco has all the tools. You're a god-damned imbecile for believing that. I could lose 100 games in a row and you would still be a f.ucking moron.

What a shock. A heartbreaking 1-point loss in which you vastly outplay the other team. The Ravens suck balls. But the Jets' offense is fit for a Lifetime channel movie.

The two defenses were about a push.

The Ravens offensive unit was slightly better.

The Jets special teams unit was way better.

All in all ... they didn't vastly outplay anyone. They lost an even game because they were more sloppy. Edwards wasn't set - and two of the guys in their secondary were flagged over and over.

Can't argue with much of this. The Jets D is obviously going to keep them in every game this year. like CP said earlier, if they don't trust Sanchez, or Sanchez doesn't trust himself put Brunell in. But you can't have nights like tonight every game because the defense can only be on the field for so long before they get beat down.

It's hard to think that they are as hyped as the Jets are, but I live in the NY area, so obviously it's skewed.

Defensively they played well, as far as stopping the Jets strength which is running the ball. The Jets never got a passing game going, whether it was the Ravens D or the ineptness of the Jets offensive, probably a litle of both. But they did keep the Jets to a FG after Flacco fumbled their first play from scrimmage. So they did make some plays.

Offensively the Ravens were OK against a very good defensive team. It seemed like they didn't have very good field position often. But they took some chances throwing the ball and made more plays then the Jets. By no means did they look like an offensive juggernaut tonight. Also of course it seemed like every call went their way.

Bottom line is that I think the Ravens are a very good team and good teams find to win a game like that tonight (let alone on the road). As far as the Jets go, I still believe (just like on their playoff run) that they could go as far as Sanchez can take them. But offensively they stunk tonight.

I saw a lot of "experts" talking about the Ravens having a big shot at making the Super Bowl. Their offense was vastly improved, etc. By no means am I'm blaiming the refs, because the Ravens absolutely made more plays than the Jets did tonight. But as you said it did seem like every call went their way.

Either way, I don't want to jump the gun on anyone because it's week one. But if both teams don't improve they will be watching the playoffs from home.

Yeah if I were to jump the gun I'd be going crazy over the Titans.

But I'm a realist. Field Goal Fisher won't let it happen.
