yeah, but your thread misses the whole point. for one, we are supposed to be the civilized ones. two, now i know why churches are a farce...any religion. they preach one thing and do another......i'm sure jesus would be out there burning holy books , beheading people and bombing cities. as soon as man tried to define God, its been nothing but war....thats the bottom line. all these ridiculous , stupid religions sound really peaceful and loving...until you stand back and look around. if there is a God...hes turned his back on this pathetic behavior centuries ago......lol. i'm not taking sides because the blame goes around the board...mankind is basically a loser. even when they believe in God, they do everything that God would hate......lol. so all you church goers....keep going, give them your money...see what it gets you later......lol. i guess "live by the sword, die by it" means nothing or "turn the other cheek"...thats the part that gets shoved to the side....i'm sure God will overlook that if you give the church enough money...lol...lol. religion....its a joke on this planet.

Shows them that people in this country aren't gunna stop doing something just to avoid a thug's retribution. If that's the reason you give this guy (to stop the burning,) then he shouldn't call it off. That's a pss-poor reason. Killing people (for burning books) should be recognized as Muslim thuggishness...... No, ya jump right to the guy who peacefully demonstrated his views. If ya stopped giving out all your free passes, you might not have this guy wanting to burn books. When people start holding Islam responsible for what their leader started, then this world will start getting cleaned up. Won't be possible until people stop giving them free passes. Being scared of thug retribution is always a loser for society as a whole. Not standing up to Islam's thuggishness = a loser for the 70-75% of the world's population that's still free from it.

They do only respect force. That's how Europe has gotten in trouble. They showed these people the same attitude as many are showing on here, and they are paying the price. They don't want to assimilate. They want to own people. So, when they get in the majority, everyone has to stop eating all day during Ramadan (not just the Muslims.) This is what these people are all about (making non-believers submit.) They've shown us what they're all about. This is not some new religion. They've shown their cards. When they're in the majority, you submit (like their dog.) When they're in the minority, they lay low, and claim non-violence. They demand the same religious rights that they'd deny you (the 1st chance they get.) These are the biggest hypocrites in the world.

whats your point...are you a christian? yeah, we have to defend ourselves, but what in the hell does that have to do with burning books and pissing people off? people that had nothing to do with 9/11. what about the muslim guy fighting for us overseas? hes willing to take a bullet or worse yet....get his own head loped off.....how does he feel seeing these morons do things like this? I think you're missing my point -- the Mike Tyson remark was a way to illustrate that they don't seem to factor in the consequences of what they do. If they burn enough American flags or Bibles or effigy's, it's natural that somebody, someday in America will get the idea to burn something the Muslims hold sacred.

More directly, if they attack the American Army and we decide to change our rules of engagement from "Do not engage the mosque" to "If the enemy runs into ANY structure, destroy it.", well then, that's the breaks. What are they going to do when we decide not to fight with one hand tied behind our back, as we have done in every battle since World War II?

By the way, I only realized later that Tyson himself had converted to Islam a few years back. Substitute the name of any strong and renound fighter and the principle still holds.
