![]() She was impressive both today on the yielding turf and at the Spa on hard ground. Even with a wide trip, she was over 2 seconds faster than the boys in the Pilgrim, one race prior today.

![]() It is quite clear that the 2 courses had quite different amounts of "boggage". DC running his opening half in 51 confirms that. Plus WM made a big move in the middle of the course, where it seemed to be firmer footing than the rail.

The configuration of the two courses led to the different paces as is always the case in 1 1/16 races on the two courses. As for things being theoretically deep inside....there is more proof the other way. The third finisher was down inside most of the way and the first two finishers are significantly better than the rest of the field. No disrespect to your horse, but the race was bet very strangely, and the winner should have been a MUCH shorter price. As for Winter Memories, she's obviously a nice horse, and I'm happy for Jimmy Toner, but it's a little premature to crown her a future champion.
