Someone who was trackside and a horseperson said she ran down on her right hind and clipped her right front .

Rundown is an abrasion or a burning scrape .

A little salve and a bandage will do ya .

Most time a rundown happens to a tired horse. Not a big deal, I thought she ran huge with a poor ride.

She was tired for sure. I am not certain the ride was to blame really. I think they had the strategy that this was a two horse race and none of the others would be able to come and get her. They buried LAT who may never be the same, see other horses that have pushed Rachel (aside from Big Drama). They just got tired and didn't have enough distance.
My opinion a bad ride this year was JV on Quality Road, he had gas in the tank and with no pressure didn't go fast enough early which let Blame nip him.

Beyer is becoming a common hack.

The Phipps and McG must have though alot of Persistently since her first races were the G2 Matron and then the G1 Frizette where she placed second.

What is the big surprise that Persistently won at 1 1/4 miles? Anyone ever watch this filly's prior races...Persistently ran 2/3 in short races and closes from the back.

Anyone remember Pleasant Home at 33-1 in the BCLC?

The Phipps' have been breeding horses for what...100 years...
Persistenly is a typical Phipps racer...only she has a nice,speedy turn of foot down the stretch.

It is not like RA was invincible this year...lost several races...and got beat by a Phipps racer with a pedigree "money can't buy"

Silverbulletday never got this kind of treatment from the press.

She was amazing as both a 2yo and 3yo filly through Sept. - and when she finally started losing races it was like everything she had done prior was supposed to be made null. Her performances in defeat were pretty damn good.

Well, at least AB didn't try to put some kind of spin on the loss like some on here have. Called it exactly what it was … a "debacle".

Even if RA can bounce back quickly from that taxing race, she would get killed in the BCC, imo. But not sure why AB thinks that running her in the LC is somehow "beneath her dignity", though.

No disgrace running in ANY race on BC weekend, imo

SBD, Go For Wand, and Serena's Song as 3yo fillies were the best I'd seen before last year (never saw Ruffian).....
