What percent of the races in this country are at 1 1/16 or less? 80% ? More? It's no surprise that leading sires in terms of money won were sprinter/milers, because the vast majority of races in this country are sprints or miles. Stayers sire some talented short horses but in smaller percentages.

Scratch that … we could see another TC winner … just that his running time in the Belmont will be something like 2:35 3/5......................
