Default Boycott

The thought occurred to me that all NJ residents who care about horse racing at Monmouth and/or Meadowlands ought to stop buying lottery tickets and stop playing in Atlantic City.

It's only lacking someone to organize it.

There's no down side. If such a boycott is not big enough to make a dent, then I guess the governor has correctly sized up the impact of racing.

But if it did get attention -- that would be something.

The whole reason NJ government is emphasizing A.C. at the expense of racing is because they think that former horseplayers will go patronize slots and table games in Atlantic City instead. Wouldn't it be something if they could find out that their assumption is not true. Even better to get that information before shutting the tracks down.

Personally, I swore off AC about 3 years ago. I'll never spend another dime in an AC casino if this continues.
