I haven't even handicapped this race yet.

I'm talkin' out of my arse.

Pretty sure I've got Lucky big in the Top Two though.

Given that the inside is usually the place to be at this distance

Trifecta
1,4/1,3,4/1,2,3,4

Tough race though....

Trap Shot is the fly in the oinment. He will screw up a couple horses if they send.

My knock against Afleet Again is post.

all in on Our Dark Knight if I get more than 20-1

it'll probably be something like Lookin at Lucky or Super Saver

Warning, moderate red boarding alert...

Thank you to the Trappe Shot touters here. I really hadn't looked at him too closely having been in 37K races not too far back.

When I walked into the OTB to put my $100 win and $200 place on Lucky, the 4-5 odds 10 minutes to post significantly dampened my enthusiasm for the full bet. I was expecting 8-5 or better, and I expected the money in the place pool to be spread around more than it was.

Post post parade decision after seeing the horses I lessened my wager.

I kept the $100 win in play, then put $100 on a Lucky-Trappe Shot $50 exacta box. It was less than I intended originally to bet, was my reasoning. Lucky on the rail concerned me today, but with only 7 horses in the field I was pretty sure he'd get up for at least 2nd.

With the touting here, I had reviewed Trappe Shot more closely and thought he was much more ready than anything else in the field.

Best part was that The Haskell was the DRF free race of the day online, and the OTB had run out of programs so was giving out free copy machine versions. No program or form expense for the day.

Only race I played this weekend.

Makes up for the $120 I lost in my only play last weekend trying to beat Rachel.
