Well Zenyatta keeps winning, so Im guessing in order to see them together Rachel needs to win, lets not forget the 2 shitty defeats to start the year. Lets also not forget the 2 horses who beat her, both came back to lose. Hopefully Rachel wins by 20 and since the Z camp won commit to Del Mar maybe serious talks about the Personal Ensign will heat up, especially with the detention barn being gone now. The same connections had a bad time with Giacomo in the detention barn, a few years back in the Belmont.

Jess might as well die. All he really had going for him was the mirage of "sportsmanship."

Both connections are selfish and have hurt the sport more than helped it. It's absolutely embarrassing that two of the best horses in training have pansies for owners.

I agree with that, but it seems like most people only want to knock Z's connections. No one should ever forget, she did show up at Oaklawn.

And that is supposed to make up for their cowardly campaign last year and the rest of this year?

Please.

They did send Curlin to the BCC, why not send her? Are they the same horse? My opinion all along is Zenyatta is superior, but I agree the connections of both are pitiful.

Remember when a horse's greatness was defined by winning great races instead of trying to inflate and protect won/loss records? Its even made worse in today's age because you only have so many chances to race. If you use those opportunities on bad races, you end up trying to define a career with a handful of races.

Realistically what do you think the chances of Zenyatta shipping to Saratoga are? Would 0-5% be fair?

Realistically the chances are thin, but like Fat Man says at this point she does not have to ship. She is far ahead of Rachel IMO for any award right now. This race Rachel is running in on Saturday does nothing as far as HOY or Older Filly n Mare. Maybe the Beldame is more likely, but if Rachel does not continue to win there would be no point of even discussing it, and thats my only point. Back to HOY, thats QR to lose.

So basically it's a waste of time to even bring it up?

Looks like Rachel is trying on the fields Z has run against most of her career. Can not blame the connections one bit as the ultimate goal is the 1st Friday in November. Now hopefully Z shows up.

Zenyatta has never run against as lame a field as this, as a matter of fact the Rockies may just be faster than this field, this is a ridiculously pathetic field for Rachel to be racing, like the Lakers playing Arcadia High School. It's a compete joke and a waste of her talent, I could care less to even watch this race, it's that embarassing.

The Santa Margarita field was just as lame in my opinion, no matter if it had a G1 title

What about the Apple Blossom field this year?

The horse who finished 2nd was beaten in a small overnight stakes race at Delaware Park next out. The horse who finished 3rd was beaten about 25 lengths in a Grade 2 at Churchill next out.

I thought Just Jenda was okay at the time since she had a couple of G3s, although admittedly she got beaten in an ungraded stake at Monmouth in her last start. I agree the other 3 fillies were lousy.

They were lousy, so why was Rachel not there?

Just Jenda would be 1-9 against this field if no Rachel, at least she is a recent stakes winner, these others are frigging claimers.
