I think a person could make a reasonable argument either way on Point Given. If somebody thinks the Hall should have a very strict standard for admittance (as you apparently do) that's fine. Others might not.
Personally, I think when you compare Point Given to the horses of his era he stacks up very nicely. There sure weren't a lot of 3yos in the decade before or after him that had better campaigns.
If you don't think he should be in...fine. But it is hardly as obviously wrong as you want to make it seem. Personally I think he belongs.

In a sense you're right. I honestly don't care about who gets in and who doesn't. The HOF doesn't really interest me.
If you disagree with Point Given getting in, that's fine. I totally think you can make a very legitimate argument against him.
But I think people can make a legitimate argument for him as well.
