I have visited Favorites before, their buffet is nice. It's a nice place to watch the races, eat and socialize. The SAMS and tellers are near by so you can bet and eat at the same time.

this is perfect...Sad thing is that the thing I am looking forward to most is live harness racing. Never been, and they have it at night when I am there. You can't go to the Chicago ones unless you are strapped with an AK47.

No nothing about harness racing, but still want to check it out

Goodluck, I know very little about harness racing either but the dining/racing experience is fun especially if you are entertaining or on a vacation. There was a restaurant across the street named the Mandarin buffet that was one of the best buffet's that I have ever eaten at if you want an alternative place to eat. You should see it from the main road. Wicked food!

The whole Canadian money thing is gonna be comedy for me though. Never held another currency before. I know you can exchange US to Canadian at the track, but can they give you US funds for your Canadian when you are done?

There should be a teller that deals in U.S funds if I remember correctly on the second floor, try that,

Be careful with the money. They have coins forth at least $5. Maybe more. The first time was in Toronto a group of us left all the coins plus a normal size tip with bills. The bartender was so nice to us when we left, we figured it out a little later that we had left a tip of about 120%. So look at the coins before you leave a pile of them on the bar.
