You can forget anyone in the NL beating either the Yanks or the A's. Thats not gonna happen. Its Yanks and A's and thats the way it should be Tim. You should have to beat the best to be pronounced the best. |

Theres nothing I dont agree with as far as what you just said. The only team who can beat the Yankees is a team with exceptional pitching like the A's.
Everyone else is just playing for 3rd place. The Yankees and A's are so much the best 2 its not even funny. |

Detroit is horrible. They lost 30 out of their last 50. The Yankees are still struggling with them.
For Oracle, What is the score now big mouth. LOL. I almost want the Yankees to get to the WS though so Wagner can strike out Arod in game 7 with the bases loaded, 2 outs down a run. Maybe next year the Yankees can spend $300 million. ![]() |

Why is it so hard to believe that the Mets can reach the World Series? Who exactly is so good in the NL where the Mets cant rise above a pitching crisis and pull out some games? Aside from the Yankees, they are the only team that can score runs on a consistent basis. The rest of these teams have about as much offense as a Little League team.

You're right Gander, no team in the NL is too good or too bad, any could make the WS. I personally think it's going to be St. Louis. They have the offense and pitching and are playing pretty well right now. The Mets thinned out pitching staff will be their downfall.

I don't understand why people who hate the Yankees always bring up their payroll. Just because the owner is a successful businessman and loves to put that money in the team makes him a bad person? All legal in the eyes of MLB? It's called America, and as long as MLB allows it why bring that up?
I hate them now because they pulled their AAA Team, which had been here for 28 years, out. Not because they have money to buy players. I feel very lucky having been able on a lazy summer afternoon to watch some of the guys out their now playing right here at Cooper Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Now for the next 2 years we get the players on Washington's farm team. |

Jeez that Detroit reliever strikes out Jeter, Giambi, and A-Rod. This team can hang with that pitching. The timely hitting is the key.
I have not watched the regular season all that closely. That Detroit reliever has a degree of velocity. Only 21 years old... We will see if he gets a chance to choke at home. Yankees might be better off on the road. Away from their loving fans. |
