See Doug, I told you Barbaro was a better horse than Bernardini.

In retrospect, Man O War and Native Dancer and Bid probably proved most worthy. MOW was never able to try and ND was nosed in the Derby after a bad trip and while I love him Bid was probably not at his best beyond 10f.
Beyond that I'd give honorable mention to Damascus and even Tim Tam who was second in the Belmont on a busted leg, as well as Sunday Silence. (Easy Goer's ankles were not as troubled by the wide turns at Belmont.)

I think the world of Barbaro, I loved him... I think Bernardini would have won the Preakness had Barbaro not gone down.

I don't think he was a "super horse"...but they did kinda gang up on Smarty Jones in the Belmont.
