I was able to listen to a good bit of the show on my computer this morning, when the phone left me alone, and really enjoyed hearing from Bob Baffert, Steve Haskin, and especially Terrell Gore. Hearing from folks like Gore brings the sport home to guys like me on a more personal level. He reminds me of people I worked for in the business years ago. It was great when he said he is keeping your number! I look forward to hearing from him again in the future.

Thanks to those that caught the opener! Was a little different but seemed to have a certain vibe that I think is going to be good. Baffert was particularly great live from Clocker's Corner, and thought it was a really nice first time visit with Terrell Gore (Shadowbedancing), who turned out to be a long time ATR listener. I completely forgot to ask Mark Frostad about his Queen's Plate runners though...

Steve does not like me anymore, my chances of making the show have declined.

Steve is, by profession, a marketer.

What you need to do is sell yourself to him (in the sense of selling the idea of getting you on air) in a way that he would see as beneficial.

My two suggestions would be to, one, offer up a 15 comedic segment of the show, or two, have you discuss your picks, then he can go the other way on every selection you make, thus making him look like an all time great genius.

You'll probably have better luck with the second idea.

How come the Jews who think people are still commonly wronging them for being Jews are never the ones who wear wear those beanie caps?

I can understand anyone who wrongs anyone for their religion .. and especially when their religion requires them to dress up stupidly.

However, you can't really identify the Jews who dress like normal people, unless you find out there last name and you figure out which last names are Jewish and which ones aren't. Wouldn't it take a whole lot of disposable time and effort to wrong the Jews? Who has time for that? ... Other than Muslims of course.

Italians - on the other hand - have unique last names that end in a vowell and are WAY easier to pick out based on looks. I have to think Anti-Italian discrimination is way more commen. Who is Semetic by the way? Was he like some Jewish hero or something?
