I think it's a good idea. Of course I don't fear change because i'm not one of the 80 year olds at the track.

I went walking on it at Keeneland a couple weeks ago. you can tell how much softer it is than traditional dirt tracks... it smells like a rubber factory.

Oh and the debate about the polycrap continues. Add Kee & Hollywood to the list of tracks (already Woodbine and Turfway) that wont get any of my $$$ no matter how big the race is...

I was at Woodbine two weeks ago and played some races there. Won money. Chances are if you bet the best horse you will win, no matter what the surface is. The stuff at Woodbine looked nice, the color was more like real dirt. Horses were running sub 1:09 for 6 furlongs. I would look at the horses who had a start over the surface or had worked well over it to make my selections. Last edited by Antitrust32 : 10-04-2006 at 03:58 PM. |

Yes it does stink very badly, one time at Turfway it was very windy and that garbage was all over the parking lot. Unless, it is totally different surface, wait to they get a whiff of that stuff at KEE this weekend... |
