If if it had ended scoreless, would the US had advanced?

EDIT: Looked it up and I don't think they would have advanced with a tie. Needed the 3 points to jump ahead of Slovenia, but correct me if I'm wrong

That was cool - When they scored, I was shouting USA USA USA in the office and I'm noT even close to being American! I do know that the US winning the group sets it up nicely for an England Germany 2nd round game as long as the Germans win tonight!
