Any of the NYRA bashers (The Fat Man) should officially now shut the hell up. Talk about a great betting card. Probably the best betting card of 2010 so far. NY will probably do about 50 times Monmouth's handle on Sat.

Boutique meet or not Monmouth can't hold a candle to Belmont in terms of the overall quality of horses competing. $7500 claimers running for $50K are still 7500 claimers in my book.

It is too bad that Comedero will pass on the Stephens in favor of a $400k sprint stakes at Charles Town.

Crist definitely disagrees with you on the card.

WHO CARES about the 1st 2nd and 13th race, if thats all he can take from this card that he's being very short sighted. Some people will complain about anything

How does he disagree there? All he says is that they had to resort to some lower quality races to get 13 races?

I'm more interested in how he has horses double ranked, 'cx' , 'AB' , 'BC' ?

I'd love to know if that is him undecided on what level they belong or if he actually assigns both levels to the actual horse.

Im thinking so too, just hoping both are at the top of their game and it could be interesting in the stretch.

Short fields or not, Belmont continues to carry the torch of best undercard of the Triple Crown.

Who says the quality of NY racing is deteriorating because of Monmouth? We have the best dirt and turf horses in training racing at belmont within 6 days of each other. Countless other grade 1 winners racing on Belmont day and the week after they are talking about Rachel going to the G1 Ogden Phipps. Behind the scenes may be in shambles the product is still the best in the country. GREAT UNDERCARD

Not this year. Churchill's Oaks and Derby undercards were better, and that's not a knock on Belmont, CD just did an unbelievable job this year.

Undercard looks nice enough to me, too.

I just wish I had a clue (or consistent success) when it comes to betting New York races.

I'm confident in my California and Florida wagers, feeling I know those tracks.

When it comes to Arlington and New York tracks my few wagers fly with far less confidence. I gave up on Aqueduct years ago.
