|   This is hard to figure, but I consider Monmouth one of the tracks that could be considered the wild west...Levine for one had a +50% win % here last year if my memory is correct. Whether it is or isn't every bettor will have to decide, but I certainly put it into the equation when I handicap races there. |

|   Monmouth would be better off with one more day of racing per week and cards of 9 or 10 races.  If they really want to know what effect the upgraded purse structure has on handle then run a card that isn't a marathon number of contests on a nontraditional race day like a Tuesday and have the whole country focus on your product but don't ask your customers for a 6 hour day. If they worry about scheduling against a workday run a twilight or night card like the meadowlands used to do.  Simultaneous tracks running and forcing choices just limits handle. |
