![]() Monmouth kicked off its season to a positive start with attendance and handle being up. The majority of the horse racing industry is viewing this unique meeting with a microscope and horse players have ample opportunities to make a big score.
A tricky PK5 sequence with unlikely winners produced a $123k carryover for today. The New Jersey bred race was extremely difficult to decipher with the long layoffs almost becoming a guessing game. The PK5 begins with a NJ bred race. I’ll take another shot after whiffing in the 1st leg on Saturday and only coming up with one winner in my play. I was able to catch to All Turf Arlington PK4 when I added Live from Appollo after early scratches. Robby Albarado took both stakes races with impressive winners (Bay to Bay and Workin for Hops) and Jose Lezcano guided Xpectation to victory in the finale which produced a $314 PK4 ticket. ![]() Gus, heads up. It did rain pretty hard here last night and it currently looks pretty dreary right now. But I am guessing that there's a chance that they come off the turf today.
