don't believe anyone!

we went to war based on intelligence from our agencies...that intelligence is now believed incorrect, and the dems have leaped on with both feet....but those same highly critical dems are now embracing the same intelligence agencies since their report on terrorists fits their agenda...same agencies, but now they're right? how do we know they're right now? how do we know they aren't? we don't!!

with foleys scandal, the dems may re-take the house...wouldn't bother me at all. it's my belief that if one party controls the white house, the other should control congress. helps maintain the checks and balances, and forces both sides to work together.

I'm in full agreement with you about things running better if one party controls the WH and the other Congress! I'm hopeful the Dems will retake Congress, if only to get some fiscal sanity to the budget (please, no more bridges to nowhere...)! For all of the "Tax and spend" mud flung at them, I prefer that to the "Borrow and spend" policy the Republicans have going right now. This is going to be very, very bad for the next generations if it keeps up because they'll be the ones footing the bill. We can call it a "Tax on the Unborn." (I'd put a smiley face up, except it's not funny at all.)

I got one of those robo calls the other day from a liberal and freaked out. I got the number of her office and called in and said to please never call me again.
The funny thing is that it was a lie, the whole call.
The women on the phone had a strong NYC accent, and claimed she was from Saratoga and that our great Congressman John Sweeney had harmed her in some way which was why she was voting for the opposition. What a scam, there isn't anyway the lady who made the recording was from here, not with that accent.

How in the world did she claim he'd "harmed" her? I know his son got off with a slap on the wrist after pleading guilty to a second-degree felony assault charge (link below), but that doesn't have anything to do with Sweeney, unless Sweeney was pulling strings to keep his son out of jail:

I'm not attacking, btw, Oracle; I am genuinely curious about the content of the call you got.

Genuine it was a woman with a THICK NYC accent who obviously wasn't from Saratoga(where she claimed to be from) and said he had really harmed her in some way and thats why she was voting against her opponent. I wanted to throw the phone against the wall.

Genuine,
John did absolutely nothing to keep his kid out of jail.
I happen to know his kid, hes a great kid, although you wouldnt know it from the article. He worked at the Sprint PCs cell phone store up here were I got my phone and went for service and he was a nice clean cut polite kid who once saved me about 300 bucks because he added insurance to my phone that came in handy when I dropped it in a pool.
Hes really a good kid, he got in a fight with a couple of other kids and was trying to act like a tough guy after a few beers.
Thats something that just about every male has done a few times while in college.
When the kid plead guilty his only concern was how his Dad was gonna be able to handle him in jail on weekends, because that whats it looked like he was gonna get and what he expected.
John is a real cool guy, not your typical congressman. He doesn't walk around like some big honcho, hes just a regular guy. He loves the races also.
Earlier this year he was attending a function near a Skidmore college frat house and stopped over on the porch where they were partying to say hi. The kids were so pumped up and handed him a beer which someone took a picture of and tried to make into a big bad deal in the news. All it did was make him look like a regular guy, and he wasn't doing anything wrong.
Last time i saw him was last year at the movies when he and his wife or gf were sitting next to me at the movies, what was the movie? Dreamer!! LOL!!
