Does Ice interview poorly or something? Seems to have some bad luck.

He clearly has an issue with communicating with his owners. An operation like Fantasy Lane, with a lot of novice owners in the game for fun, probably need to be handled differently than the deeper pocketed types that just let the trainer do his job.... Probably didn't return VM's for a few of days and that's that.

A couple of weeks/months on the elixir and this guy will be doing all sorts of novel things.

Didn't the doctors who dumped Ice cite "communication" problems as the reason or something like that? I understand there were some other personal issues, too.

Steve,
What's the deal with this guy? He seemed like a good young trainer that we, as fans, could all get behind and now these stories come up. |

Tim Ice probably has his hands full with John Ed Anthony, who can supply him with quality horses annually if Ice can stay in his good graces.

Hutt seemed to want Ice to train the string more or less without being paid. Tim politefully declined.

Maybe he was telling them something that they didn't want to hear. Like, the horse isn't as good as the owners thing he is.
