Based on his golddigging wife in Jockeys she'll make sure he stays on. She seemed more concerned with her new dress and purse than much else.

Hey, now, we didn't see the purse. Some are practically works of art. I'm sure she's gunning for a nice hat this time 'round, but what women wear to the Derby is, to quote Joe Biden, "a big f***ing deal," so she'd be no different from thousands of other women on that day.

I really hope he gets it. I know it's eat or be eaten on getting Derby mounts, but if somebody knocks Jon off of Line of David when they've gotten to ride the KD before, I'd be disappointed. Nevermind how frustrated Jon Court would be.

I really hope Jon Court keeps the mount but this horse with this trainer seems like a prime candidate to be Rafael Bejarano's mount.

I don't think Line of David has much of chance unless ALL the speed tries to rate and he is left out there all alone and they have the track a conveyor belt ala War Emblem, so if Jon does lose the mount he didn't losing much.

Sometimes they outsmart themselves with the rating (and some break poorly or get bumped en route to the turn) with someone ending up on the lead by default. Whatever happens there, I think being in the post parade and hearing "My Old Kentucky Home" would probably be a highlight in and of itself for Jon.

You know, on Homeboykris, isn't there a point for Dutrow/the Sergio's guy/Joe Torre where it's perfectly clear that your horse isn't good/sound enough to be running in the Derby off three months rest, and maybe you point somewhere else? I mean, isn't there someone at CDI or the NTRA or somewhere begging these guys to reconsider?

For those that don't understand why Homeboy Kris is running, Louie Lazzinaro ("Sergio's guy") doesn't expect to stay heavily involved in the sport with his close friend Bobby Frankel having passed. He is not outrageously wealthy with money to burn chasing a Derby dream like a Ken Ramsey. He simply wants to be able to experience having a horse in the Derby knowing there almost certainly will never be another chance for him. It's as simple as that and I doubt any one of us would feel differently if the opportunity came our way.

Plus it's of the utmost importance that he's invited to the "I had a horse in the Kentucky Derby" Facebook group.

Racing needs to follow the marathon model. If a bunch of spastics want to run in the marathon against world class runners, NO PROBLEM, say the, for example, NY Marathon bigwigs. We'll start you AFTER the world class group, so you don't get in their way, let them run like athletes while you do the Special Olympian thing and let them collect their money for running well.

Problem with the Derby is that the Special Olympian horses get in the way of the better horses' chances of winning the race. We don't need 5 speed horses and 5 pick up the pieces after EVERYONE else has run types. Which, I suppose makes the race interesting if you're better 150 combos but not bettable if you're trying to make some money. In other words, Homeboy Kris' connections would probably be better served looking into a match race situation with Sweetnorthernsaint -- you know, the horse that, more often than not, impedes itself at the gate. I know I'd pay good money to see that one.

I would hate to see how much it would cost for a glass of wine if he was trying to get outrageously wealthy!

I don't blame them at all. If I had enough money to blow, I'd buy HomeboyKris and run him myself while I watch from the infield. Everyone knows the rules (except Mandella) so too friggin bad if you get left out.
