i know the real position isn't always reflected in the messaging but i was surprised by the announced uniform opposition of republican senators to the financial reform bill. it's an interesting hill they decided to pretend they'd die for.

the 2 most unpopular institutions these days are government and banks.

they've had success painting the dems as the big government party. why volunteer themselves as defender's of the other unpopular institution?

but after the bear stearns case was a giant fail, i wonder how much he really has to worry about.
