I also missplaced a w2g a year ago--actually I left it in my notebook I take to the track. I did discover it before 4/15.

I sent an amended return. That proved everything.

Now I make sure I check more thoroughly.

The amended returns solves everything and pretty simple to do especially if you file yours online.

I did it last year for mine because I also 'kinda' forgot to put the ones I had on there and just filed my amended return in July or August I think.
