Default Confidance

I think Pletcher and Baffert had confidance they hd the best colts in there respective races Sat. One jockey made a bad error in tring to save ground and getting cut off. The other took control of the race and won without using the horse up. Thus setting him up to be fully cranked and ready for the Derby. While it appeared Gomez had confidance in his mout, his bigger mistake wasnt getting blocked but trying to makeup for his mistake maybe taking to much out of the colt and not realizing that these races are called preps for a reason and the goal is Ky. Did he use too much in this race or did he better prepare LAL for the Derby?

Give the man a break ... he's from Texas.

I'm from the intellectual capitol of the world (PA) ... and I barely know how to spell.

Sorry....... Kennedy and Dukakis and Kerry got their arses kicked.

I prefer proper spelling, too. But when someone posts a sincere thought and some come down on a spelling error or typo I have a sincere concern.

This is a horse racing board.

Not an English or spelling lesson.

Seriously, who cares? I can understand where you people are coming from, but the man's questions wasn't even answered.

I don't like Looking At Lucky in the Derby, but I think he will run just fine. If he loses, I don't think that it was because Gomez used him up in the SA Derby. Just my opinion of course.

I couldn't quite figure out what the question was, and what it had to do with "confidance," so I went with a cheap joke instead. I notice you didn't answer the question either FWIW.

Err-

Dukakis- Massachusetts native, Harvard educated
George HW Bush- Massachusetts native, Yale educated
Kerry- Massachusetts native, Yale educated
GW Bush- Connecticut native, Yale and Harvard educated

Kennedy- not sure of which one or your point. Are you saying Cancer has a West Coast preference and enjoys killing Easterners? Ooookay.... walk that (tumor-ridden) dog if it makes you happy.

So one could just as easily say that Eastern elitists kicked ass... over other Eastern elitists.

( A. Lighten up; we were just having some fun. There is a spell check on this thing, you know. B. I would suggest not using political analogies to make a point if you don't know anything about politics.)

I dont know if it was a bigger mistake for Gomez to attempt to re-rally like he did. If he hadnt he would have been accused of not riding his mount to the fullest and would have probably been probed by the stewards eventually. His horse despite having more than enough earnings was still part of the betting pool and would have really pissed off the bettors even more if he chose not to ride fully the last 2 furloungs.
