74 Beyer..

Wonderfully full and entertaining day at AQU Saturday. Thanks to Gary, Chuck, Mig, Paul, Javier and everyone who came out and everyone who rooted along.

Lloyd exited the race in great shape and got back to Belmont full of energy. Am staying by Gary's tonight and will check on the colt in the morning. It was a terrific effort as the handsome red continues to improve and mature. Channing Hill won the race for Hertler and Calvello by moving when he did. Had he waited much longer, it's highly doubtful that he gets past Lloyd later.

Don't believe we all could be much prouder of having a horse in on Wood Day to start with, let alone run as he did. In addition to the great photos from Matt, Gene Vidi, Dave Harmon and Skip Dickstein will all have shots to add from the fun outing. Hope everyone enjoyed the day...

Just left the barn. Race appears to have taken little out of Lloydobler who ate up everything last night and is quite full of himself this morning. Legs ice cold. All good.

No training at the NY tracks today, so it was a calm and pleasant morning with hoirses just being walked. Thanks again to Gary, Paul, Javier and the a.m. riders for the good work they've done with our developing colt.

It's going to be a fun spring and summer with Lloyd who may have fallen short in the last jump yesterday, but won lots of fans. Among the admirerer was Tom Durkin who text messaged me yesterday congratulating the Stable on his gameness.

Happy Easter to all. More, and a partner Email, later upon returning Upstate.

I like what the chart had to say of Lloyd's performance. Yielded grudgingly.

Congrats to team DeeTee for a great effort. You'll get them next time!

That was the thing that struck me the most. When he came back to the paddock after the race he still looked like a million bucks. He didn't seem tired at all. He looked fresher than some of the horses that they were bringing in for the third. Overall it was a strong performance and he shouldn't be a maiden much longer. Congrats and thank you again.

Real fun time yesterday! The Dee Tee crew was absolutely bonkers in the winner's circle as Lloyd made his stretch drive. Think that was the first time my son got that "rush" from racing. Was great.

Big thanks to Gary, Steve and Chuck. Was a great call by Durkin too.

Looking forward to the next run.

Default Lloyd

Nothing wrong with a 3rd and 2nd in the MSW races at NY tracks. Money and money.... Still have the condition and would expect him to break his maiden next time out....Got to like those Smarty Jones offspring..... He is turning out to be quite a nice sire....

Congrats to all involved and good news that Lloyd came out of his race in good shape. Looks like one more try at Aqueduct before the Belmont meet starts.

Default Some pictures from yesterday

Another great day at the Big A. As everyone already saw, Lloyd looked great. I was cheering him on so much in the stretch that my photos got a bit blurry. It was really nice to see everyone, although still gnashing my teeth about missing the exacta, trifecta and super when Gary's horse ran lights out!! I got over it by being happy for Gary, but it was a big miss - Nick and I were watching it and looked at each other with our mouths hanging open. I think Nick said something like, "Hey, that's Gary's horse lighting it up!" It was a beautiful day but started to get pretty cold as the day wore on. I have pictures of Paul's (pgiaco) firster, Crescent Moon and some shots from the Wood - will try to post them later. Here are some pictures from Lloyd's race:
