Is Baffert being serious here?

Asked about the inquiry that followed, in which stewards made no change in the order of finish, Baffert said: “I didn’t really care. When I saw him on the rail, I said, ‘What is he doing?’ He must not have seen Jerry Bailey’s tape. We’re going to buy him some DVDs.”
last sentence made me laugh.

I agree with Baffert a thousand percent. It was a horrid ride. Setsuko lived up to those last two works going into the race.

Except the last work wasnt him the clockers got the wrong horse .... Dick got him in 49 and change , funny thing is they called Dick and asked him what he got him in and yet they still didnt change the time , tell me clockers arent jus a lil sneaky.

No one was going to catch the winner

the SA Derby was a good prep for the Derby now
not so much

Agreed. Any other jock would be a step down. He did reedeem himself in winning a tight photo with Ventana.

Gomez blamed Espinoza for him shuffling back. According to NBC, Gomez confronted Espinoza after the race and they had to be seperated after a heated exchange.

I actually thought for a second after the race that with three straight interesting rides by Gomez that Baffert might consider a change. Doubt that would happen though.
