Finally, people have posted video links to past races in Europe. Can someone post a link for this race on Sunday (I don't think it is televised, or is it?)?
Yes, the Arc is huge! Others have posted the particulars...I'd just add that imo, the biggest races in the world are:
Breeder's Cup Classic
Dubai World Cup
Arc
Japan Cup
Kentucky Derby
Some will make a good argument that other BC races, especially the BCT belong on this list, as would several British races and the Irish Derby, I would like to see the Melbourne Cup get more attention as well...but those 5 stand out to me!

The softer the ground, the more Shirocco will like it. Won the German Derby in a bog.

Most of Deep Impacts races are on Youtube. Just search for Deep Impact. I watched them today.

This is a very fast and impressive looking horse. Don't be fooled by the foreign language call...over there he is 'Deep-uh Impacto' and he's the horse in front flying to the finish line.

I've watched all three of the big guns, and they look pretty evenly matched to me.

If it comes up soft, I'll go with Shirocco. Hurricane Run didn't switch leads down the stretch in the Prix Foy until they hit the wire. It may have impacted the outcome of the race. Every time Hurricane Run switches leads, he usually takes off with a tremendous burst of speed. However, Shirocco showed his heart and class, and held him all the way. Still, Hurricane Run may can beat this guy.

However, I think Deep Impact's heart gets him to the wire first. He is probably the prettiest moving horse that I have ever seen. He looks as if he is running on air he touches the ground so light. His turn of foot is phenomenal. I love this guy! What a race this is shaping up to be.

Who else is running? Pride? Heart's Cry?

One thing is for sure...this is going to be a race for the ages. We'll be talking about the champion of this race for years to come.

Well, I will be honest. I hate to be one who jumps on a bandwagon, but Deep Impact is the best horse I have ever seen run (on television.) I only wish I could see him up close. I will be surprised if he gets beat. He's amazing.

yes, he does have an amazing turn of foot. combine that with what seems like unlimited stamina and you've got yourself a winning machine. i'm just hoping the jockey doesn't screw it up.
