Z didnt have much pace no excuse tho she did what she had to even tho she only won by a length ......otherhand R.A. is the pace and was sitting behind very slow fractions for her , maybe holding her back made her even shorter than she was but still I expected more I guess . On to Hot Springs , and we will see who does what , will be interesting to see who goes for the 500k for third.

Not sure how much you'd factor it into things, but if I recall correctly, they were running into a significant headwind on the backstretch, so maybe not quite as slow as it seemed.

Older allowance males went :49.0 and 1:13.3 a few races earlier.

But the final time wound up pretty close...pace may have been a bit more taxing than it seems on paper.

But I'm fried after today, so I don't even know what to make of all that, or if I'm making an important point or not
